What I dont get about it, is why do the players persist in wearing suits that make them look like c***s off court.

Pentonville, I suppose it's hard to look James Bond in a suit when you're pushing 7 foot plus, unless of course you're Mugsy Bogues

yes, big fan. I'd put Jordan just in front of Larry Bird in terms of all time best. Dr J in third

For me it would be Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and then LeBron James. Those four stand out for me. Take your pick from probably 50 players all vying for the positions behind those all from the classic years and the modern era.

Mike, I never saw Dr J play and I never thought much about Larry Bird until I heard other basketball players rated him as one of the best but the things Michael could do with the ball were fucking outrageous

Does anyone else think that if Mark Fowler had the sort of money Magic Johnson has, then he still might be alive?

As for the original question. It’s the only one of the American big 4 sports I don’t enjoy at all.
Seems to me games are only exciting when scores are close going into the last 2 minutes. So why don’t they just play the last two minutes?

MJ Wilt Larry In no particular order IMHO guys with the largest legacy. Not a Brons fan, especially in this conversation, as he was so wise to call himself THE GOAT. It is really difficult to compare todays players with the legends of the past, because the 2005 no hand checking rule was such a game changer. 30yo Kobe B season average went 10 points up then. I don't want to speculate how much would MJ, Larry or Wilt average nowadays, but I know it would be a carnage.

Oh and once I was into it for a short period and that was watching Jordan and Wilkins in a shoot off for dunk of the year or something.
